Prevent Gadget Theft With Datadots
News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - June 02, 2006

(view image)

Datadots are intended to keep theives away from your valuable gadgets. The Datadots DNA kit comes with a bunch of tiny dots that are suspended in adhesive that you smear over your gadgets. Each dot in the kit comes with a special serial number that is registered at the Datadots site.

The idea is that most thieves won't want to steal an ugly device with dots all over it. They will also end up with a gadget that's scratched if they try to remove the dots.

If someone turns the device in the police can trace the device back to you based on the serial numbers on the dots. The basic Datadots kit costs $19.95 while the advanced version costs $34.95.
